About Salon Russe

Salon Russe is a British company formed to seek out and bring to the attention of art-loving people outside Russia some of the most interesting developments in contemporary Russian art and a new generation of Russian artists.

The goal of Salon Russe is to present beautifully executed modern paintings with a contemporary twist of the classic styles of past, as well as the work of painters that are striving to craft striking new images and ways of seeing our world. Salon Russe collections provide a meditation on the richness and diversity of the modern Russian art scene.

The most important criterion which we apply in selecting new paintings and artists is quality. Despite what we read, ‘quality’ cannot be high or low, good or bad: a painting either has or does not have ‘quality’. What does Salon Russe mean by quality? We mean that elusive attribute that encompasses an exceptional level of artistic skill, which is reflected both in the technical mastery of the artist and his or her creative flair...

We also aim to provide to our clients with convenient and innovative ways in order to view and purchase the modern paintings both online and in London art galleries. For this purpose we have developed and continue to improve the Salon Russe website which works as a fully operating internet shop. We also hold frequent exhibitions in London galleries. Staging our exhibitions in different places enables us to take full advantage of some of the wide range of interesting and exciting spaces available in London.
